This past weekend was our first experience as vendors at the craft fair in Springdale, AR. We had to come up with a booth design, build it, and then set it all up, all the while, we still had unfinished projects that we were planning to sell. Needless to say, we were crazy busy. Opening day, we arrived at the convention center early to finish setting up and prepare for the customers. Most of the other vendors were doing the same, though it was still pretty quiet compared to what was headed our way. As soon as 9 am came around and the doors opened, hundreds of people came through the doors and it was a mad house from then on. There were so many people that there was hardly enough room to walk around without bumping into someone else. We were told that there was going to be an enormous amount of people, but it never really hit us until it happened. Although it was extremely busy and a bit overwhelming for our first craft fair, it was a great experience and by the end of the second day, we felt like we were getting a better hang on things. We loved meeting all the people that stopped by our booth and seeing the other vendors creations. Above all, we learned a lot and when we decide to be apart of another fair, we have a better idea of what to do and what not to do.
Here are some photos of the set up and our booth from the fair.
